ABOUT

George Sebulela Foundation

Mr George Sebulela grew up in a small rural village called Six Pond, which is bounded by two other rural villages namely, Dertig & Danhouse in a district region of Moretele in North West Province, South Africa. Mr Sebulela is a pure product of Rural poverty. Rural poverty refers to poverty in rural areas, including factors of rural society, rural economy and political systems that give rise to the poverty found there. Mr Sebulela having grown in rural communities, has also faced & experienced many disadvantages in terms of legal and social protections, seen women and marginalized communities frequently having a hard time accessing land, education and other support systems that help with economic development. He has always had a dream to better the life & economic development of communities, hence the formation of the George Sebulela Foundation (GSF).
